CASIO COMMUNICATION BRAINS Inc.
Website Management Group
Watanabe Yuko
It's one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use CMS.

- What are the duties of Website Management Group?
The division is responsible for the system and decides on the web structure, overall rules, and guidelines.
- What is your background before installing C-Square's CMS?
We had several divisions that dealt with calculators, clocks, digital cameras, musical instruments, mobile phones and systems. We responded to the ideas of each division individually, including the increase of FAQs and manual PDFs.
We wanted to create a structure/system that was easy for everyone to use, which meant building a unified system accessible by the whole company, and making it possible to quickly post lots of information by using a single format and template.
- Why did you decide to construct the system with C-Square?
They were recommended to us as a "great company" on a different project.
There were two competitors at the time, but C-Square was able to accurately grasp our users' needs and gave us a plan and development proposal that sealed the deal.

- Were there any improvements after installing the CMS?
Of course there were.
Including our overseas operations, we have many divisions including different companies and departments, and our system handles multiple languages for multiple purposes in every country. 80 of our employees utilized the system on a regular basis, making operations much more efficient than it would have been with conventional methods.
Another thing that changed was my mindset. It started with the general idea of moving from "paper to the web," and this idea spread to different divisions, getting us involved more and more with web production and realizing the importance of offering information on the web. I believe there was an increase in projects that used the web, including the posting of information online.
It led to a reform in our perception of the web.
- How did people respond to your site after release?
We haven't done any research into the specifics, but analyzing the web data tells us that there aren't many who have left our site. This means our users are finding what they are looking for, so I believe the response has been only for the better.
On the other hand, I believe we can build better support site systems that boost performance as there are still improvements to be made.
- What are some challenges you hope to tackle?
One is to improve usability even more.
We will review the route users take to get to the information they need. We are considering making it easier for users to find the information they want by moving any content buried in categories that is viewed often a litter higher up in the hierarchy.

- What are your thoughts about the backend (administration/registration function) after using it?
Before installing the CMS, I had some knowledge of HTML. It would have been difficult to operate a system without understanding the overall system such as privacy settings and personal access authorization.
Above all else, C-Square's CMS was customized to perfectly fit our business, making it easy for us to operate the system even if our staff didn't have much knowledge about HTML.
Our company also tends to have staff changes from time to time, and it used to be difficult to take over for someone's former post. But after installing C-Square's CMS, we haven't had any problems in switching roles from the former person in charge to the new person, which reaffirmed that the CMS is easy to use.
Lastly, it has helped our workflow with the batch approval process and publish functions, which are extremely useful as we can release a great number of contents in the same category in one go.
- What were some highlights of working with C-Square?
They get a 5-star review for providing a system that's extremely easy to understand and their "quick response."
- Thank you very much for evaluating our CMS.We would like to continue helping you with a speedy response and usability improvements.
Thank you.
